參觀馬六甲天文館～Let’s Visit the Planetarium Malacca！

儘管全馬擁有6間天文館，被稱為我國最先進、位于MITC（馬六甲國際貿易中心）的馬六甲天文館Planetarium Melaka，未來將被發展為匯聚科學、研究及教育資訊中心。

甲州政府計劃把甲天文館打造成一站式的天文館資訊中心。

甲州教育、科學、工藝及人力資源事務委員會主席拿督耶谷日前指出，為提供一站式的天文館資訊中心，該天文館將設立研究及發展中心、宇宙圖書館等，希望能匯聚一切有關天文學資料。

也是馬六甲天文館主席的他說，該館將邀請國內其他大學，提供相關資料，希望于明年初，推出一站式、具有教育性的天文館。

該天文館擁有一間可容納超過百人的宇宙劇場，設有熒幕，讓參觀者以仰望坐姿，觀賞宇宙星群影片。

該館播放3部與宇宙及觀星有關的影片，不過，這影片必須每3個月更換。該館接下來將引進一部長達18分鐘、耗資86萬令吉的影片。

天文館的開放將為馬六甲增添教育旅遊產品，預計在年底可吸引5000名人次參觀，吸取天文知識。

MALACCA: The state’s RM20mil planetarium at the Malacca Inter­n­ational Trade Centre (MITC) in Ayer Keroh is set to become the latest tourist attraction.

The planetarium was equipped with the latest astronomy technology provided by Pico International (M) Sdn Bhd, costing RM2.4mil.

Besides attracting those keen to learn more about the beauty and secrets of the universe, the planetarium would also enable researchers from various institutions of higher learning to conduct experiments, he added.

The state was considering imposing an entrance fee of RM10 for adults, with a discount for children and students.

The planetarium is built on the site of the 4ha roundabout located at the MITC in Ayer Keroh.

It houses a 15m internal dome and also a theatre with a capacity for 250 people.

Currently, there are three other planetariums in the country, namely the National Planetarium in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, the Terengganu Planetarium located at the foothill of Bukit Besar and the RM20mil Al-Khawarizmi Astronomy Complex in Tanjung Bidara, Malacca.
